Biological Characteristics of Pissodss sp. in Yunnan Pine Forest and Its Management Measures

云南松梢木蠹象是鞘翅目、象虫科的一种蛀食云南松、华山松害虫。在盐源县一年发生一代,以幼虫在枝梢内越冬。3月上旬越冬后幼虫在受害枝梢内取食为害,4月中旬开始化蛹；4月下旬至5月上旬为成虫羽化始期,6月上旬为盛期,6月下旬交尾,7月上旬产卵,7月中旬幼虫开始孵出,7月下旬进入越冬状态。防治技术主要是4月下旬至6月下旬采用人工卫生伐除虫枝集中烧毁及掌握有利时机进行化学药剂防治。

Pissodss sp. belongs to Curculionidae, Coleoptera, and it is harmful to branches and tips of Yunnan Pine （Pinus yunanensis Franch. ） or Huashan Pine （Pinus armandi Franch. ）. It propagates one generation once a year in Yanyuan County, and comes through winter season in form of larva on branches and tips. At the beginning of March, its larva proceeds to be vivified and lives on branches and tips, then pupates in the mid of April. Its imago and eclosion commences from end of April to beginning of May, comes into its own at June be- ginning, mates at end of June, and ovulates at beginning of July. Its larva is hatched at mid of July, and hibernates subsequently. So, morbid tips and branches can be removed manually to be burnt down together from the end of April to the end of July. And, chemical method is an additional countermeasure.
