后现代主义小说家高举“篇篇怪”的大旗,热衷于写作技巧的实验创新。他们离经叛道,以不确定性为创作原则,向传统小说写作模式发起冲击。情节作为小说的核心,解构情节的确定性自然就成为后现代主义作家的创作要义之一。从某种意义上说,后现代主义小说就是情节不定的艺术。

Upholding the banner of ＂Make it strange＂ the postmodern writers are addicted to experiments with writing. They wage a war against the traditional mode of fiction writing by resorting to uncertainty principle. As a key element of fiction, plot has turned out to be deconstructed at the very outset. To a certain extent,it is safe to argue that postmodern fiction is the art of indeterminate plot.
