邓小平同志认为,加强执政党党风建设是保持和巩固党的执政地位的需要;是保持党的先锋队性质和形象的需要;是保证改革开放和现代化建设方向的需要;是端正社会风气的关键。加强执政党的党风建设既要靠教育,更要靠法律;必须建立健全监督机制;加强党的制度建设;党的各级领导干部特别是高级干部要以身作则;必须坚决查处大案要案,严厉惩治腐败分子。

Deng Xiaoping considers that strengthening the ruling Party＇s work style construction is needed tor Keeping and consolidating its position as the ruling Party. Meanwhile, strengthening the ruling Party＇s work style construction is the need of keeping pioneering spirit and image of the Party, the need of ensuring the reform and open - up policy and the orientation of modernization construction and critical for correctituding our social ethos. Strengthening the ruling Party＇ s work style construction depends not only on education but also on law. We must establish and strengthen the surveillance mechanism and reinforce the systematic construction of the party. The leading cadres of the Party at all levels especially those in high positions should set themselves examples for others. The major and serious cases must be investigated and dealt with resolutely and all corruptionists must be punished without leniency.
