The application and studies of urban wastewater as a cool and heat source are the foreland of HVAC. This paper specifies the thermal characteristic and application peculiarities, such as the stabilization of wastewater temperature, the variability of wastewater flux, and difficult problems about applied technologies; sums up the application methods, system forms, advantages and disadvantages about sewage cool and heat source; summarizes the applications actualities, course, technics and operation about the key equipments, studies on antisepsis; points out the study direction and contents in the future through the developing status.
