Reversing and Transcending: Paradigm of the Contemporary Western Translation Studies School

翻译研究中学派研究范式实现了对语言学派研究范式的反拨和超越,符合“科学革命”发展的一般规律以及翻译学作为一门人文社会科学的学科发展方式,但同时也容易抑此扬彼地走向新的片面与极端,并最终陷入一种二律背反的二元对立运行模式。

This paper summarizes and demonstrates the essentials of the paradigm of the contemporary Western translation studies school in terms of its orientation, object, nature, perspective and scope. It holds that the paradigm of the translation studies school has reversed and transcended that of the linguistic school, thereby conforming to the rule of ＂scientific revolution＂ as well as the evolutionary pattern of translation studies the discipline, while at the same time leading to new dilemma of partiality and dichotomy.
