拆!拆!拆!在现代化的城市建设进程中,对古建筑的拆除成为所有重视历史传承、文化延续、遗产保护的人士心中共同的痛。众所周知,古建筑是古代文明和当时生活状况的见证,是历史的“名片”、时代的“身份证”,在它们身上,承载着历史、文化乃至民族精神的无形价值。然而,各处打着种种名义进行的拆迁,将古建筑拆除得支离破碎、面目全非甚至灰飞烟灭,以致有人痛心地表示要将“China”译成“拆啦”。下文提到的常州拆除古建筑的风波,是当前比较典型的案例,它不但惊动了众多知名的文物保护专家,也在媒体上引起了轩然大波。为此,我们特意邀请中国文物学会传统建筑园林委员会副会长丹青先生撰文,以期通过对这一事件的关注,类似的悲剧永远不再上演……

In recent years,Changzhou city was widely known for its demolishing artifacts.The private developers made great financial income when they dismantled the old buildings.Under the name of developing the relics to improve the image of the city and to accelerate the pace of urban modernization,the valuable old buildings were also endangered.
