Problems in Writing Thesis Statements and Their Solution

论题句是英语专业毕业论文写作中的一个重要环节,在一定程度上,它直接影响论文写作的质量。但是不少学生难于写好论题句,其主要原因是不大熟悉论题句写作的基本特征和具体要求,也不太了解论题句的限定作用和写作步骤。对此,提出相应的解决对策:掌握论题句的基本结构;遵循论题句的写作步骤;了解论题句的实质作用。

Thesis statement plays an important part for English majors in writing theses. It makes or mars the thesis directly. However, many students have difficulty in writing the thesis statement, mainly bccause they are not sure of its rules and requirements,nor certain of its writing procedure and essential use. Thus, the problems are discussed and analyzed. And thereby the solution, which is to master the basic construction of the thesis statement, follow its writing procedure and understand its essential use,is put forward.
