On "Official Corruption" in Judicial Practice in Ancient China

吏在中国古代司法运作中不可或缺,但大多素质低下,贪酷成习,自身存在着很大弊端。“吏弊”对古代司法腐败起了推波助澜的作用。对中国古代司法实践中“吏弊”久禁不止的原因、表现,以及官员们总结的防范经验有必要进行系统论述。

Officials play an important role in judicial practice in ancient China, but most officials, bad in quality, are greedy and cruel, and have many problems in themselves. Official corruption pricks up the corruption of judicial practice. Therefore, it is necessary to give a systematic account on the experience summed by ancient officials in prevention of official corruption.
