From 1958 till now, from copying the Soviet BMW-originated 750cc horizontal-opposed engine to becoming the biggest motorcycle manufacturing and exporting country. China's motorcycle industry had gone through a prosperous course of 48 years. And the motorcycle technology had also been improved gradually from simply copying, to technical cooperation, and finally to self-research and development. This had laid solid foundation for China's motorcycle industry, enabling it to gain large share in the world market.
