In his masterwork, Native Soil, Wright not only expresses his strong protest against the white racists but also ponders on the esential solutions to the racial problems. By analyzing the white humanitarian characters, such as the Dahons and Max, this essay attempts to interpret the setbacks Wright suffers and his growing disillusionment while exploring the access to racial harmony.
