英汉新闻编译的“求同存异”策略

Seeking common ground while preserving discrepancies in English-Chinese news adaptation

英汉新闻编译话语实践的复杂性,使得它无法被简单地归结为西方统治与本土抵抗这一后殖民研究范式,新闻编译策略也不能简化为对原作的归化或异化处理。发展了后殖民主义翻译研究提出的“杂合化”思想,提出“求同存异”编译策略以服务于新闻编译活动的目的,有利于不同文化意识形态之间的交流和协商。

The complexity of English- Chinese news adaptation renders inadequate the postcolonial research framework of either western domination or native opposition, thereby the adaptation strategy could not be simplified into either foreignization or domestication. By developing the translation strategy of ＂hybridization＂ proposed by postcolonial cultural studies, this thesis contends that in English- Chinese news adaptation common ground should be sought while discrepancies be preserved so as to facilitate the communication and negotiation between different cultural ideologies.
