Analyses on the Contents of 11 Trace Elements in Hair from 28 Inpaticnts with Endemic Cretinism

1986～1988年对28例地方性克汀病患者在两年住院期间头发中11种微量元素作了分组观察分析,发现患者入院时发Mn、Co、Sr、Ba与发Cu、Nl、Pb分别显著高于和低于健康对照组,与国内报道有类同之处。反映微量元素失去平衡可能是地方性克汀病发生的因素之一。观察期间发Mn、Co、Sr、Ba治疗组显著下降,训练组与对照组部分下降或无明显变化,发Zn治疗组显著升高,余二组无明显变化,提示治疗 通过增加摄入或改善代谢 对恢复患者体内的微量元素平衡可能有一定作用。

The authors investigated the contents of 11 trace elements in hair from 28 inpaticnts with endemic cretnism admitted and observed in the years from 1986 to 1988. Before treatment the contents of Mn, Co, Sr, Ba were higher than those of the healthy group, while Cu, Ni, Pb were lower, which were similar to some results previously reported. After treatment, however, the contents of Mn, Co, Sr and Ba became significantly lower than those before the treatment while in the train and control groups, the contents of the trace elements remained the same or become slightly lower. In addition, Zn level increased after the treatment.It is suggested that the imbalance of trace elements is probably a causative factor of cretinism and the treatment, which is achieved by increasing the intake of trace elements and improving the body metabolism, can recover the balance of trace elements in patients with crtinism.
