《女神》和《星空》是郭沫若最早出版的两部新诗集,它们在许多方面都表现出了不同的审美特征。两部诗集审美特征迥然有别,但都给我们以较高的审美享受。

＂ Goddess＂ and ＂Starry sky＂ are two new poetry anthologies in Guo Moruog earliest period of literature creation. They display different esthetic characteristics in many aspects. In the use of image, ＂Goddess＂ takes the light, the sun and the sea as the main images while＂Starry sky＂ takes night, the white clouds and the star month; In style, ＂Goddess＂ vigorously displays the bold, vigorous beauty, whereas ＂Starry. sky＂ displays the dilute, composed and gentle beautiful style; In theme,＂Goddess＂ expresses the spirit of his age,i. e, creation and destruction; ＂Starry sky ＂then expresses the internal emotions of being sentimental, resistant and yearnings. The esthetic characteristics of the two poetry anthologies are utterly different, but both are an esthetical treat to us.
