英汉互译中文化信息的传递(英文)

ON TRANSMITING CULTURAL INFORMATION IN TRANSLATION BETWEEN ENGLISH AND CHINESE

语言同文化是不可分割的,因此,英汉翻译中涉及到中英文化信息的传递。文化信息对翻译构成了障碍,也对译者提出了挑战。英汉翻译时可运用四种手段进行文化信息的传递,即直译法、增译法、功能对应法和意译法。

As any language is inseparable from culture, the translation between English and Chinese involves transmission of culture in- formation. Cultural information is a barrier in translation work as well as a challenge to the translator. Four methods are used in the transmission, i.e. literal translation, amplification, functional corresponding and liberal translatin.
