对“个性教育”的本质的反思

Reflections on the Essence of Individualized Education

个性教育是在与划一教育的长期斗争中逐渐形成的教育理念,其本质特征正是体现在它与划一教育的根本对立之处。个性教育就是以对个人的独特性及其价值的尊重为最高原则的教育,而对“个性教育”中的“个性”一词,与其理解为“个人的独特性”,还不如理解为“个人的独立自主性”。

Individualized Education is an educational concept that was built up gradually in its struggle against uniform education, and the essence of individualized education is shown by means of its contradiction to uniform education. Individualized education is of the kind that holds a topmost principle that the individuality and its values should be admired, and so the meaning of the term ＂individuality＂ in individualized education ought to be explained as ＂independence＂ rather than ＂distinctiveness＂.
