Geographical Research on Khorchin and the Later Jin's First Agreement

1624年2月,科尔沁部与后金缔结联盟并盟誓。对此史书虽有记载,但没指出盟誓的具体地址。盟誓地址对研究科尔沁蒙古史至关重要,因为很多历史事件都是从这里展开的。在研究史料的基础上,进行实地考察,确认盟誓地当在格勒珠尔根古城。

In February 1624, The Khorchin clan and the Later Jin reached an agreement and also made a pledge. The event has been recorded in the history books, but the site of making the pledge has never been pointed out clearly. The site of the event is very important for doing research on Khorchin Mongolian history, since many events started from this place. Based on the written materials geographical research has been carried out. The ancient city Gerlezhuergen has been confirmed as the site of making the pledge.
