摘要
本文认为美国高校教师发展(Faculty Development,FD)兴起于20世纪70年代,并在此后进入了蓬勃发展的时期。论文通过介绍和分析美国高校内部建立起来的教师发展组织的主要模式及运行机制,指出教师发展组织在促进美国高校教师专业发展方面发挥了重要作用。
This paper reveals the history of faculty development (FD) in American universities and colleges, and especially analyses the background of the rise of FD in the 1970s. Following the introduction of four models of FD organization, it points out that the organizations of FD in higher education institutions have played an important role in professional development of teachers.
