Some Issues in American Studies That Deserve Attention:the United States as an Empire,Political System,and North American Free Trade Area

摘要 1979年以来美国研究在中国受到学者的青睐,本文认为,根据目前的国际形势以及中国发展的需要,以下三个问题在中国美国研究中显得尤为重要:(1)美国在冷战后时代国际体系中地位与美国帝国;(2)美国国内政治制度对美国对外关系,特别是中美关系的影响;(3)美国主导的北美自由贸易区与东亚区域合作的共性与差异。这些问题对于中国对外政策的制定和实施有着重要的现实意义。 American study has been a favorite research subject for Chinese scholars since 1979. In the current world,with the needs of Chinese development,this essay argues that the following three issues appear particularly important in the American Studies in China：（1）the position of the United States in the international system after the end of Cold War and American empire; （2）the impact of American domestic political system on U. S. foreign relations,especially the U. S. -China relations;（3）the common and different characteristics between the NAFTA dominated by the United States and the East Asia Area Cooperation. These issues are of great significance to the making and implementation of Chinese foreign policies.
