To recognize the damages caused by the war to the civilians will be helpful to understand the social meaning of international friendship to the civilians. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, due to their status of "hostile nationality", the overseas Fujianese in Japan, as the average labors, suddenly became a special group and found themselves in a tight corner. Their lives were endangered and properties susceptible to damage. They were hurt both physically and mentally, and their traditional living mode "one home two countries" was distorted and interrupted. At the same time, they faced the huge pressure of survival. This article makes use of the "Diplomatic Monthly" edited by the Japan police station, which recorded the true life of the overseas Fujianese in Japan during the war. On the principle of humanitarianism, the author investigates their living status, analyses their behavior and mentation in the special situation and tries to offer some information to the related overseas Chinese researches.
