论翻译信息的流动性

On the Liquidity of Information in Translation

翻译界一直把翻译看作是一项以译者为主体的语言和文化的转换活动,这似乎赋予翻译太多的主观化色彩,忽略了翻译学作为学科而存在的客观现实。笔者认为,与其把翻译看作是一项语言和文化的主体转换活动,不如将它视为客观的信息流动过程,即源语中所含各种语言、文化信息流向目的语的动态过程。这里从市场运行的角度探讨了翻译信息的流动性,并认为没有信息流动性就没有翻译,因为翻译本身即是一种信息运行机制。

The field of translation always regards translation as a convertible activity between languages and cultures, which imbues translation with subjectivity and ignores the objective basis on which translation study is established. Therefore, the author holds that translation should be taken more as an objective traveling process of information than a subjective activity conducted by translators. This article deals with the liquidity of information in translation in the market operating perspective and holds that there is no translation without the liquidity of information, for translation in itself is a sort of information operating system.
