摘要
提出了一种新的基于磷酸盐的铒镱共掺双包层掺铒光纤放大器。在分析了铒镱共掺系统能级,忽略放大自发辐射与激态吸收的基础上,通过Runge-Kutta法求解速率方程,边界方程,数值计算结果得出:双包层铒镱共掺磷酸盐光纤放大器具有更优良的增益特性,其单位长度增益高于硅酸盐双包层铒镱共掺光纤放大器,它应该是传统硅酸盐双包层铒镱共掺光纤放大器的有力竞争者和替代者。
A novel double-cladding erbium-ytterbium co-doped fiber amplifier(EYCDFA) based on phosphate glass fiber is proposed.Based on the analysis of the levels of Er-Yb co-doped system and ignoring ASE and ESA,the rate and boundary equations are found using Runge-Kutta method.Numerical calculation demonstrates that double-cladding erbium-ytterbium co-doped fiber amplifier has better gain performance,its gain per unit is higher than that of double-cladding erbium-ytterbium co-doped silica glass fiber amplifier,and it will be a competitor and substitution for the traditional double-cladding erbium-ytterbium co-doped silica glass fiber amplifier.
