On the Management of Information Resources in Colleges and Universities

物质、能量、信息是现代社会赖以生存和发展的支柱；科学、技术、管理是现代社会的三大支柱；这说明，管理在社会中的巨大作用。从人力资源管理（HFM）到管理信息系统（MIS），再到信息资源管理（IFM），构成了人类社会发展史上信息管理发展的三部曲。

Matter, energy and information constitute the foundation for the existence and future development of modern society, while science, technology and management are the three supporting columns, which indicates that management is of great significance in society. From human resource management （HRM） to management information system （MIS）, then to information resource management （IRM）, all the three stages make up a trilogy of the development of information management in the history of human society.
