《日出》、《雪国》都是诞生于二十世纪三十年代的文艺作品,虽然分别出自中日两位大家之手,其结构却都以悲剧而告终。但通过其中主要人物形象的比较,可以发现两位作者的悲剧意识中蕴藏着丰富的不同内涵。《日出》描绘了曹禺青年时代对所处社会的一腔愤懑,通过道教经典和基督教义为读者展现了一线光明,而《雪国》则描绘了川端康成东方式佛禅虚无的思想,通过虚构的雪国展现了川端式的悲与美的结合。

Sunrise and A Country of Snow are written by Chinese and Japanese writers respectively during the 1930s but both are ended in tragedy. However, by comparing the heroes in the novels, we can find that the tragic consciousness of the two writers has different meanings. Sunrise describes the dissatisfaction with the society of the writer during his youth and shows readers a bright future through Taoism and Christianity, while A Country of Snow describes orient - like nihility of Chuanduan Kangcheng and the combination of tragedy and beauty of Chuanduan Kangcheng.
