摘要
在马拉美《牧神的午后》表层的结构中,牧神象征了人类的原始欲望,“牧神精神”也同“酒神精神”具有同等的象征含义。诗歌一方面展示和肯定了人类原始欲望的狂欢,另一方面,牧神的梦境、自责和罪孽感象征了人类的理性对原欲的制约,诗歌暗示了人性和西方文化的两极即酒神精神和日神精神的永恒对立和冲撞。
Taken literally, in the surface layer of Mallarme's The Herd God's Afternoon , the herd god the symbol of the original desire of mankind, the herd god's spirit is of the same symbolic meaning the wine god's. The poem revealed and affirmed the revelry of the original desire of mankind on o hand, on the other hand the herd god's dreamland,self accusation and the sense of sin symbolized t restriction of the human reason to the original desire. The poem implies the eternal antithesis a collision of the two poles of humanity and western culture--the spirit of wine and the spirit of the su.
