摘要
清初才子佳人小说在江南盛行,该类型的小说创作多注重小说的叙事结构,这与当时江南文坛受八股制艺影响,热衷于探讨作品艺术结构的风尚密切相关。
Popular-romance novels were prevailing in the early Qing dynasty （ 1644-1911 ）, characterized by romances between handsome and gifted heroes and beautiful heroines, and emphasizing on narrative structures. This was closely related to the then literary trend that took great pleasure in discussing the artistic structure of literary works, a result of the imperial exams for selecting government officials, which demanded exclusively the so-called ＂eight-part＂ style of essay writing （stereotyped writing）.
