The electrical designed software that electrical switches manufacturing enterprises used are all based on 2D CAD,so the growing size of the market and backward design tools results in so many contradictions. Using mature of 3 D software technology to set up electrical tank to 3D digital product library and 3D digital design tools from two-dimensional to three-dimensional solution for such problems is the inevitable trend. It made the problem simplified by the idea of box which based on the feature of electrical tank. A set of parameters for the 3D design system was developed though using database development technologies of Solid Edge.
