The Commercial Pedestrian Streets in Beijing Road and Shang Xia Jiu Road are well-known home and abroad for its abundant commercial and cultural deposits as well as its unique style of Lingnan culture. According to historical records, from Sui and Tang Dynasties, Beijing Road has always been located in the axes of Guangzhou city. Always being the city center and commercial center, it has created its splendid historical culture as well as commercial civilization. Many historical sites are gathered here, including the sites of Ancient Road, Ancients Building, Nan Yue Imperial Garden, Western Han Water Gate, the Shipbuilding Workshop of Qin Dynasty and ancient temple Great Buddha Temple. The Ancient Road Site has been open to public, where the roadbeds built in Tang, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties can be seen clearly.
