A simple method for measuring the refractive indices of isotropic solid has been reported. The method has been realized by using Brewster angle method on spectrometer. Measuring the refractive indices of isotropic solid with this method, the process for the measurement is simpler and the sample manufactured is lower. It is especially suited to measuring the refractive indices of those opaque solid or translucent solid.
