摘要
历来红学界对“狱神庙”均莫衷一是,最有影响的是吴世昌的“监狱论”,从20世纪80年代红学研究提倡“还红楼梦以红楼”,旨在回归文本起至今,对它的探讨一直没有停息。综述20世纪80年代以来前人之成果,并表示质疑,结合史料及前80回内证,“狱神庙”只是普通而平凡之庙宇。
From its very beginning, the comment from Zhiyanzhai has aroused much attention from scholars in the studies of A Dream of the Red Chamber. It offers distinctive views concerning such issues as the "lost draft" and the "prison temple". Among conflicting views on the latter, the most influential one is Wu Shichang' "theory of prison". Since 1980s the academic circle has been advocating a "return to A Dream of the Red Chamber with the Red Chamber", meaning to get back to the "text" itself. Based on a critical review of the said studies up to 1980s, plus the relevant historical data and a textual analysis the first 80 chapters of the novel, the paper concludes that the "prison temple" is no more than an ordinary temple.
