The Relativist Feature of SSTI and Its Possible Resolution

由于SSTI的建构在很大程度上借鉴了科学知识社会学的方法和理论,必然在不同的层面表现出很强的相对主义倾向。分析归纳了SSTI中相对主义的两种表现形式,一方面认为该相对主义表现具有一定的积极意义,另一方面,认为相对主义与实在论的矛盾是技术创新的社会形成理论中的主要问题。指出区别“可形成的”和“不可形成的”因素是正确处理该问题的关键所在。

SSTI will inevitably manifest certain kind of relativism for it has borrowed the basic methods and theory of SSK. In this paper,two forms of relativism have been generalized and the author points out that, on the one hand, the relativism has some positive function for SSTI, on the other hand, the paradox between relativism and realism is a main problem of SSTI theory. Finally, the author suggests that to distinguish clearly the formable and unformable could be the key issue to resolve this problem.
