Community college education system in the USA has its own particular historical development and social functions. This article, based on the author＇s experiences of visiting community colleges in Missouri in the USA and some relevant information, gives a brief introduction to community colleges in the USA, talks about the main advantages of community colleges in the USA, and finally discusses what we can learn from this kind of education system in the construction and development of higher education in our country.
