Doctor-patient relation is the basic relationship between doctors and patients, and its harmony is an important element to construct harmonious socialist society. However, frequent violence in hospitals has been contaminating our society. Violence in hospitals indicates that doctor-patient relation tends to go to extremes, threatens the security of medical staff and property of medical institutions, and it also has bad effects on medical order in hospitals. This article, beginning with real cases, analyses the concept, characteristics, causes and solutions of violence in hospitals.
