关于我国高等教育增长方式的实证探析

An Empirical Study of the Growth Mode of the Higher Education in China

高等教育有“外延式”和“内涵式”两种增长方式。自1999年以来,我国高等教育连续几年实施了扩招政策,各高校相继进行了扩大规模的“外延式”发展,现在应该理性看待“外延式”和“内涵式”发展的辩证关系,在我国高等教育资源有限的情况下,既控制好外延式增长,又抓好内涵式发展。

Two modes, extensive and intensive, exist in higher education. Since 1999, higher education has been expanding its enrollments and higher learning institutions thereby have been developing in an extensive fashion. At present, we must take a critical view of the dialectic relations between＇extensive＇ and＇intensive＇ development modes. As higher learning resources are limited, we must control extensive development and at the same time put emphasis on intensive development.
