摘要
依据图书馆的性质和社会功能，讨论了中国图书馆在“四化”建设时期的定位，重点阐述了现代图书馆向未来电子图书馆发展过程中开展信息传递服务的必要性，并在此基础上提出了图书馆结构体制的建议。
Based on the library’s nature and social function, the paper discusses the library position in society during the drive of Four Modernizations. Emphasis has been laid on the expounding of attaching great importance to information transfer service provided by libraries during the transition from modern libraries to future libraries--electronic ones. In conclusion, the paper deals with the structural construction of the Chinese library system.
