摘要
基本岩石地层单元是构成岩石地层的最小自然单元,是一个服从于瓦尔特相律并具有明确的顶底界线的沉积地层集合体。在一个基本岩石地层单元内,由侧向加积作用所形成的地层叠覆关系,并不存在严格的新老关系,且不服从于叠覆法则。应用基本岩石地层单元作为识别岩石地层的标准,可以赋予岩石地层单位的界线、时间、形态及区域分布以相对稳定的概念;并使地层描述实现科学的简化。
The element of rock strata is the naturally smallest unit composing rock stra-ta, submits to the Walthe^s law, and has the definite top and bottom boundaries. The superposed relation of strata does not keep certain and close one that the low is old, and the up is new, therefore, it doesn't submit to the principle of super-position in the element of rock strata. When the element of rock strata is applied to distinguish lithostratigraphic unit as a type, it will give the boundary, shape, regional distribution and chronology of the lithostratigraphic unit a steady concept, and achieve the scientific simplicity of stratigraphic description.
