With the development of global manufacturing industries, traditional product developing patters cannot satisfy actual demands. This paper compares the traditional product developing pattems with the new product developing patterns combining the RPT and RE, introduces the RPT and the general principles of RE, and demonstrates the application in the product development with examples.
