摘要
位于幕阜山脉北麓的崇通盆地的第四纪地层系统,过去由于没有发现下更新统而有所空缺。本文的研究工作填补了这一空缺,并建立起具有本盆地特色的完整的第四纪地层系统,第一次测得各层位的热释光和^(14)C年龄。洞穴黄土中发现大量中国犀的牙化石,不仅使幕阜山北麓增添了一个古脊椎动物化石点,而且可能为在本区内发现含古人类化石的大熊猫-剑齿象古脊椎动物化石提供重要信息。
Since the Lower Pleistocene series in Chongtong basin which is at the north foot of Mufu mountain has not been found for a long time, the Quaternary stra-tigraphic system appears to be not complete. Now the shortcoming is over because of the result of studies presented by this paper. For the first time a completed Quaternary stratigraphic system of the basin is established based on the two ab-solute age determination method;14C age dating and thermoluminescent dating. Several teeth of Rhinoceros sinensis are also found within loess soil in a cave. It is the second fossil point of Quaternary mammal compositions at the north foot of Mufu mountain, which provides important information for searching Ailuropoda -Stegodon fossils.
