对文学“终结论”的思考

A thought of " The End of Literature"

针对电信多媒体时代文学的生存处境,一些西方学者提出了文学的“终结论”或“消亡论”。无论从文学内部本质特性来说,还是从人类普遍的审美性及当下文学更生存续的发展势头看,都很难得出文学走向“终结”的结论。但这也警醒人们应重新考量文学发展的多变情势,充分看到人类的文化能动性与文学的自律性,以积极引导并推进文艺的健康发展。

According to the literary situation in the era of multimedia, some scholars in the west advanced a new theory of ＂The End of Literature＂ or ＂The Fade of Literature＂. However, it is very hard to draw a conclusion that the literature is going to an end from the inner feature of literature, the general aesthetic perspective, or the literary trend of development at present. But it is also a warning that people should study the changing situation once again and realize the human beings＇ cultural initiative and the literary self-discipline, and then, guide and promote the development of culture.
