In the novel Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, Pu Songling created two interesting images, ＂Monk Jin＂ and ＂Candidate Jin＂. The article makes a textual research on the prototypes of two characters and analyzes the internal relations between the prototypes and the characters in the novel.
