The Development of Relevance Theory on Grice's Conversational Implicature Theory

Grice的会话含意理论是语用学理论的基础。关联理论比会话含意理论更具有解释力。在分析两种理论基本差异的基础上,从交际模式、语境概念、语用推理三个方面深讨了关联理论对会话含意理论的发展。

Griee＇ s conversational implieature theory is the basis of pragmatic theories. Relevance theory has more explanatory advantages than the conversational implieature theory. Based on the analysis of difference between two theories, this paper discusses the development of relevance theory on conversational implieature theory from communication, context, and pragmatic inference.
