篮球运动在甘肃省开展较早,有着深厚的群众基础,甘肃省篮球队曾经有过短暂的辉煌,享誉西北地区,由于多方面的原因省篮球队被迫解散,从此甘肃省篮球运动陷入低谷.目前对甘肃省来说发展篮球运动有着重要的意义,怎样抓住机遇发展本省的篮球运动,在对其篮球运动现状调查的基础上,提出了相应对策.

Basketball game enjoys a long history and wide popularity in Gansu Province in China. Gansu Basketball Team had been very successful, especially in the northwest of China. The team was compelled to dismiss because of the various reason. From then on basketball sport in Gansu Province sank into the low valley. It has important meaning to develop the basketball sport in Gansu Province in current days. Based on the investigation of the current situation of the basketball sport in Gansu Province,the author puts forwards relevant countermeasures on how to develop the basketball sport in Gansu.
