Tender is the Night remains F. Scott Fitzgerald＇ s most brilliant book, The book develops around three main characters： Rosemary Hoyt, a representative of Hollywcod film stars; Dick Diver, a representative of idealists; and Nicole Warren, a representative of rich people. F. Scott Fitzgerald poignantly pointed out that their pursuit of money resulted in their degeneration with their physical corruption as a medium, and eventually they sunk into the capitalistic dark night. He wrote this novel aiming at revealing a greater social crisis -- money as the origin of the world in degeneration has a destructive effect on human beings.
