在毛泽东对革命的论述中,有些内容尚未引起高度重视。例如,毛泽东概括了人类历史上几次大的革命,其中却不包括轰轰烈烈的农民起义,这其中蕴涵着他对马克思主义革命观的深刻理解。毛泽东关于阶级斗争性质的革命基本结束后要及时向技术革命和文化革命转变的思想,以及将经济革命称作党领导的“第二个革命”的思想,反映了建设时期他对革命的新思考。毛泽东对“文化大革命”地位的评价,则使人们得以从一个新的视角认识他的唯物史观。

Great attention has not been attached to some aspects in Mao Zedong＇s exposition of revolution. They are listed as follows. Mao Zedong summarized several significant revolutions in the history of mankind, exclusive of the vigorous peasant uprisings, which embodied his profound understanding of Marxist conception of revolution. His new viewpoints towards revolution during the socialist construction period were reflected on his thought that the revolution characteristic of class struggle should be promptly transformed into the technological revolution and the cultural revolution after it terminates by and large and his thought that economic revolution should be elevated to ＂the Second Revolution＂ under the leadership of the CPC. His evaluation of the role of the Great Cultural Revolution provided the people with a new perspective to comprehend his historic materialist.
