Hubei Xin Yegang Co., Ltd., located in Huangshi, Hubei Province, is the earliest iron ＆ steel enterprises in China.. Its predecessor was Daye Iron Works, part of Hanyeping Coal, Iron, Factory ＆ Mine Co., Ltd., founded in 1908 by the end of Qing Dynasty, known as ＂the cradle of Chinese Iron ＆ Steel Industry＂. In 1949, its name was changed into Central China Iron ＆ Steel Company, then, renamed as Daye Steel Works in 1953.In 1993, Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd. （DYSSCO） was born out of Daye Steel Works, and then converted into Daye Steel Group Corportion in 1995. In 2004, The Iron ＆ Steel assets of Daye Steel （Group） Corporation were merged by CITIC Group, and reconstructed into a foreigninvestment venture-Huhei Xin Yegang Co.. Ltd. （HBXYGCO）
