A Biography of Hulan River is representative work of Xiao Hong. This novel has been completed in the last period of her transient life. In the situation of sickness and isolation, what motivation spured her to write down the novel？ This article tries to explore the apparent motivation of the novel through Xiaohong＇ s experience by psychological viewpoint.
