A Probe in the Construction of Business English in Higher Vocational Education Institution

高职商务英语在专业培养目标上应定位于强调社会之“需”的同时还应突出“高”的要求和“职”的特质。在教学模式和教学方法上应重点培养学生的专业技能,使学生在顺利完成学业获得相应学历证书和等级证书的基础上,能够真正具备英语的听、说、读、写、译等语言能力,同时还具备外贸业务谈判、函电书写、合同签订、制作单证、进出口业务往来和有关外贸业务核算等能力。

The paper points out that the goals of business English in higher vocational education instruction should be designed to focus on the requirement of the real world and theoretical level together with its professional in nature. Therefore, the teaching methodology and modute have to be laid out for the purpose of training students＇ professional skills along with documentary certification in hne with their abihties in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Meanwhile, students＇ commercial capacities such as business negotiation, business writing, contract signing, making business documents and other related foreign trades can be improved significantly.
