MAO Ze-dong＇s thought about the country＇s unification between both coasts of the Taiwan Straits was to make use of opposing foreign country＇s interference of domestic affairs as a breakthrough, proclaiming but never waging war against Taiwan and letting Chiang Kai-shek and his son govern Taiwan as a strategy; while being determined to realize the country＇s unification as a ultimate goal was our Party＇s logical starting point to solve the problem of Taiwan, all of which have important practical significance.
