“留守”考

On Study of "Liushou"

留守,实为历代帝王出巡、出征时以亲王或重臣镇守京师,得以便宜行事而设置的一种职位。后来也有在行部、陪都等设置留守的,目的类似于京师。在北宋王朝,大名之所以设置留守,且以王室心腹任此要职,并不是因为大名是北宋王朝的陪都,主要是因为它是防辽南侵的重镇。

In the first place, chancelleries guard capital city, in ＂Liushou＂ is serve as a head sh order to convenient for act when ip that ancient monarch arranges princes or important they circumambulate and go out for a battle. Afterward the other capitals install ＂Liushou＂ in order to guard the capital city as well. However, in the Southern Song Dynasty, Darning installs ＂Liushou＂ and arranges the monarch＇s confidential hold the position of the important duty, it is not because of Darning is a capital city of the Southern Song Dynasty but prevent aggression of the Liao nation.
