On Some Issues in the Current International Situation

和平与发展这两大主题面临着三大挑战：美国霸权主义依然是对各国主权与安全的严重威胁；全球化负面效应日益明显；社会矛盾尖锐，许多国家的民族纷争加剧，暴力活动不断上升。

The two main themes of peace and development are now faced with three big challenges,i.e.,the U.S.hegemony still poses a grave threat to the sovereignty and security of various countries in the world;negative effects of globalization are becoming more and more prominent;social contradictions are getting acute and ethnic disputes are intensified in many countries,leading to the rise of acts of violence.
