被称为香港“新移民文学”代表的颜纯钩用细致的笔触剖析新移民的生存困境,挖掘身份追寻的迷茫和焦虑,以探索生存的要义。在新旧环境的转换过程中新移民因为无法调和分裂的因素,如窘迫的生存处境、漂泊的性爱解脱而造成身份认同危机,于是死亡及关于死亡的想像就成为摆脱身份危机和焦虑的隐喻。

Yan Chungou, the representative of ＂the New Immigrant Literature＂ in Hong Kong , analyses me existence predicament of immigrant delicately, taps perplexity and the anxiety about identity, and probes into the essence of existence. In the converting process of the new and old environment, the death and the imagination about death becomes the metaphor that gets away from the identity crisis and anxiety, because of some factors which are difficult to mediate, such as the hard-pressed existence circumstances, wandering escapism from sexual passion, which results in the identity crisis.
